John J. Bravata is the Chairman and a Manager of BBC Equities. Mr. Bravata founded BBC Equities (originally named Bravata Holdings X, LLC) in May, 2006. 

John attended Grand Valley State University, where he studied International Law and Criminal Justice.

Upon Graduating Mr. Bravata served as an Under Cover Narcotics officer and then as Uniformed officer for the Kalamazoo Department of Safety. 

Mr. Bravata worked as a financial planner and sales manager for John Hancock Financial Services from November, 1991 to January, 1997, where he specialized in investment and estate planning for high net worth individuals and business owners.

Beginning in January, 1997, he served in a position as a Partner with New York Life Insurance Company and, in October, 2000, Mr. Bravata was promoted to Managing Partner of New York Life Insurance Company’s Detroit, Michigan office.

As Managing Partner of New York Life Insurance Company, he headed and built an office, which by June of 2002, ranked among the highest of other New York Life offices, controlling in excess of $1 billion in assets under management. 

In January, 2006, he became a District Agent with New York Life becoming one of the top consultants in the company qualifying for the Chairman’s Council.

In July, 2006, Mr. Bravata founded Bravata Financial Group, a financial and estate planning firm located in Brighton, Michigan, where he currently serves as its President.

John stepped down from his position and affiliation with New York Life in October 2006. Throughout his career, Mr. Bravata gained significant personal experience in the purchase and sale of investment properties, and he currently holds several National Association of Securities Dealers licenses, including a Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Representative), Series 7 (General Securities Representative), Series 24 (General Securities Principal) and Series 63 (Uniform State Securities Agent). He also holds life and health insurance licenses and is the acting Chairman of the Board for an Aero Space company based out of Troy Michigan.
